The most recent Octavia is also well-equipped. There are physical shortcut buttons for the ESC, tiredness alarm system, climate control, and park assist in addition to the 10-inch touchscreen, which is sharp and responds effectively to the lightest tap. The climate control shortcut, on the other hand, is ineffective, as it simply returns you to the touchscreen, and there is no hard button for the fan speed. This is, of course, extremely fiddly, especially when you're on the go.

Other features include superbly done ambient lighting that bathes the cabin in gentle colours of your choice, a powerful and crisp 600W Canton sound system with a subwoofer, proximity-sensitive LED reading lights, retractable rear window sun shades, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The last-generation Octavia made a dramatic exit from India in full-fledged RS245 form. The new Octavia is powered by the same 2.0 TSI turbo-petrol engine, albeit tuned to 190hp and 320Nm. For comparison, the previous Octavia 1.8 TSI produced 180hp and 250Nm. A 7-speed dual-clutch transmission is standard, and power is sent to the front wheels. A 1.5-litre petrol variant is possible, and Skoda has stated that the new Octavia RS will be available in India in the near future, but no diesels will be available.
Drivers with a more sporty bent will miss the drive modes, but launch control is included. Put your foot down and it will take off, the engine pulling hard as soon as you leave the starting line. It takes 8 seconds to reach 100 kph, and 18.9 seconds to reach 160 kph. As the table shows, there isn’t much of a difference in performance between the old and new Octavias, which is due to their nearly similar power-to-weight ratios.
