10 Best Rap Songs
“Hit ‘Em Up”
Perhaps the most brutal 2Pac song! Its lyrics are one of the
most representative of the tragic rivalry between rappers from
the East and West coasts of the United States in the 90s. In “Hit
‘Em Up,” Tupac and the Outlawz make it clear to the Notorious
B.I.G. that the fight is on. Biggie, Puff Daddy, Lil Cease, and
even the duo Mobb Deep are threatened with death. The theme
was a response to the track "Who Shot Ya?", released by
Notorious B.I.G. after the assassination attempt on Tupac at
the Quad recording studios.
He was the first gangster rapper to come equipped with a
message, a heart, and the emotional foresight. Eminem
considers 2Pac to be the best songwriter he has ever heard. "All
the rappers that grew up in the '90s owe something to Tupac,"
said 50 Cent.
Almost thirty years have passed since the death of Tupac
Amaru Shakur, one of the most influential musicians and poets
of the 20th century. He is the biggest rap legend. He was a
game-changing icon of music, poetry, and street life.
