Two turbo-petrol engines are available for the Virtus: a 114 BHP, 1.0 TSI with 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions, and a 148 BHP, 1.5 TSI with a 7-speed DSG. The trim lines were created by Volkswagen depending on the available engines. The 1.5 TSI is available on the "Performance Line," whereas the 1.0 TSI is available on the "Dynamic Line." A 6-speed MT won't be offered with the 1.5 TSI. 
 The doors, bonnet, and boot lid of the Virtus don't feel as weighty as compared to some of the brand's European vehicles. The doors close with more of a clumsy sound than a pleasing "thud." The Virtus, though, doesn't feel flimsy in light of that. The car has very little body panel flex and feels reasonably well-built. The panel gaps are small, and the overall fit and quality are typical of European automobiles.
Although the dual-tone black and beige dashboard resembles those found in Volkswagen cars, it has a contemporary feel about it. The instrument panel, the touchscreen for the infotainment system, and the side air conditioning vents are all covered by a body-colored appliqué that spans the dashboard. Volkswagen refers to this style as being island-like since the majority of the space in between is completed in glossy black. 
 The Virtus appears to have all the essential attributes that buyers these days are searching for in a modern vehicle. It boasts a sunroof, an 8" virtual cockpit MID, and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Additionally, it has ambient lighting, ventilated seats, connected car technology, wireless phone charging, rear air conditioning vents, and two USB-C charging ports.
